Golden Quilter Awards 2013 - Press Release

The 4th Annual Golden Quilter Awards is all about recognizing those individuals, businesses and products that make our world of quilting so wonderful.  Quilters from around the world will be invited to nominate their favorites, for a variety of award categories, as well as vote from their favorites of all nominees, to help identify the best of the best.

This year we have talented Padsworth (Lilypad Quilting) for our emcee as the master of ceremonies.  Padsworth was the emcee of the 2012 Pets on Quilts Show.  He is also busy coordinating "Padsworth's Project" where volunteers help make pet beds for their local animal shelters.  But, fortunately for us, he has agreed to emcee the 2013 Golden Quilter Awards Ceremony on March lst, where the winners will be recognized for being the best of the best by quilters from around the world.  And, after the Awards Ceremony we'll also have a Giveaway Party with prizes donated by our sponsors that will be awarded to PR Angels, volunteers of the nominating committee, voters, and those that come and attend the Awards Ceremony.

While nominations for the 2013 Golden Quilter Awards will open tomorrow, today I wanted to ask for help by PR Angels (details at the bottom of this post) and to recognize and thank our sponsors for this event.

Sponsors of the

I found a way to get the information on my site. http://nanbon44.blogspot.com/2013/01/golden-quilters-award-press-release.html This might help other PR angels and you can copy from my blog... until SewCalGal gets her problem fixed

You advertise and want people world wide to vote, but half of your prize donors will only award prizes to US only. Not really enticing or fair.

Actually Lee, this event is really meant to focus on recognizing those in the quilting business. Like the Oscars there is frequently SWAG given away at various parties. So, we have many generous sponsors for this event that have generously donated 38 wonderful prizes. Of those 38 prizes, only 6 are designated to ship to US only, and another 5 are designated for US/Canada only. So, there really are a number of prizes that are open for international participants that help with PR, nominate, vote, or come to the Celebration Party.

Another great year of recognizing the best in the quilting industry. I have posted your button on my blog, blogged about the nominations and more recently about voting. I hope everyone will take advantage of voting for their favorites.
