Update: SewCalGal wants to thank everyone to help find tips for glue bottles, as shown in Sharon's video. There are some plastic ones on Sharon's site and her daughter's Purple Daisies site. I also learned that Loew Cornell sells a kit with plastic bottles and these metal tips which you can also find on Amazon.
Sharon teaches a variety of classes, including Corded Binding, The Perfect Curved Binding, Piped Binding and many on free-motion quilting, both on a domestic machine and on a longarm machine.

I've been watching Sharon Schamber videos over and over again for the past two months and made a y-seam star quilt using her tutorial. I've also tried her binding methods and it works perfectly. I now starch all my fabrics twice before cutting and have two bottles of Elmer's School Glue by my ironing board! :D

Thanks for including this video. My bindings for the most part are adequate for what I do but I struggle with miters and closing join. I'm going to try Sharon's method on my next quilt to see if I can get a more consistent and accurate result.
I LOVE binding my quilts using Sharon's method and the School Glue. Like everything else it does take a little practice, but the time saving results are FABULOUS!!!!

I think they quit making the metal one. Sometimes, if you are lucky, you can find one at a quilt show. But, I believe Sharon is selling a new one on her web site.
I saw this tutorial awhile back and thought it looked like a super way to get a binding done, but wondered where to obtain the tip for the glue. Thanks to the commenters who have shared how they acquired theirs!
I'm bookmarking this. While it's time-intensive, it sure looks worth every step! Wow. I would have never guessed to use a ladder stitch either.

Another place you can find small tips to put on your Elmer's School Glue is in the hobby department at Hobby Lobby or maybe other craft stores.(you know model car building area, etc.) I got a package of tiny holed tips that work great for the glue.

I love this tutorial, this is how I became better at my bindings...notice I said better...lots of room for improvement!
Wonderful tutorial. But I was surprised by the usage of the glue. Is this only for show quilts or also daily use quilts?

For Marianne from Germany: Bastelklebe would be your closest choice to Elmer's School Glue. I found an example online at dasBASTELN.de http://www.dasbasteln.de/kleber/bastelkleberwei250g.php It looks like Sharon's glue bottle tips would also fit the 25ml bottle. Guten Rutsch!
