Quilt soup, Hash, Onions & Garlics, or Housekeeping?

Can you tell I'm struggling with what to title this post?  A few things popped up that I decided to hold off sharing insights on something I've been researching, and share the following insights with you today:

If you are a blogger that uses Blogspot, you probably are aware of the problems that happened this past week.  But I want to take time to heighten awareness that blogger did a restore of last Monday night and your posts made after that date could be at risk of being changed.  I had a post published last Tuesday, about the Fat Quarter Shop and received several comments.  Later, I realized that my released post had disappeared, along with the comments, and a "draft" version (written prior to Monday) had replaced it.  I had to write the post over again.


I did find the following message on a blogger help area:

We are very sorry that users are unable to publish to Blogger right now. We have rolled back the maintenance release from last night and as a result, posts and comments from all users made after 7:37 am PDT on May 11, 2011 have been removed. Again, we apologize that this happened and our engineers are working hard to return Blogger to normal and restore your posts and comments. We will post a report once this work is complete.

Thus, I want to encourage anyone that released posts last Tuesday, or later in the week, to go back and verify your released posts are really what you want released.

On another note, I'm wanting to heighten awareness that the page on my blog labeled "giveaways" is updated a couple of times a week.  I'm also trying to update it every Monday, after researching to find new giveaways.  I'll do this as long as I view it is helpful to followers.

Hmm.  Seems like I had a larger list of misc items to include in this post, but this has become rather lengthy, so I'm going to stop here.
