Fat Quarter Style, Giveaways, and More Quilty Fun

Today I want to share insights on a new quilting book, giveaways, as well as quilt market and quilt festival that will be kicking off quite soon. But first, let me share insights about a new quilting book that I truly lov:

The It's Sew Emma team introduced their second book "Fat Quarter Style: 12 quilts that never go out of style".  This new quilting book is filled with refreshing designs that are perfect for Fat Quarter bundles.  It was introduced this year and now appearing in many quilt shops.  But, for those attending IQF Quilt Festival/Houston, next week, you can also pick up a signed copy of this book, as well as other books from It's Sew Emma!

There are 12 fun designs included in Fat Quarter Style and each design includes instructions to make in a variety of sizes (e.g. Crib, Lap, Twin, Queen).

You'll find fabric requirements, cutting and piecing instructions for each design, as well as a section for preparing your backing, binding your quilt, and labeling your quilt. And, for those that may not be familiar with fat quarters, there is a section for "What is a Fat Quarter?" as well as a section where many excellent tips are shared on "Techniques Used in Fat Quarter Style".

And the photos of the quilts,in this book,  are inspirational!  But I've also enjoyed seeing quilts made from this book, when quilters share such photos on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Blogs, etc..  Always lovely quilts.
