English Paper Piecing II, by Vicki Bellino

Vicki Bellino has written a follow-on book to her original best selling English Paper Piecing Book.  This new book, English Paper Piecing II, has included ten new designs in this book, as well as a section on English Paper Piecing (EPP) basics and quiltmaking basics, making this an excellent book for quilters of all levels.  To clarify, if you are new to EPP this is a great resource for you too!

EPP techniques show how to mark and cut your own paper pieces, baste your fabric and whipstitch your pieces into fun shapes that are then applied to fabric, using applique' techniques. As these projects do not require a machine, they are also very portable projects.  Think of the fun you can have creating while on a lunch break, waiting for a Doctor, traveling, etc..

Projects range in size from small (9 1/2"x15 1/2"x 6"), medium(20 1/2" x 44 1/2")  to large (60" x 77 1/2") and the designs include fun projects like sewing machine cover-ups, wallhangings, miniature quilts, totes, bedrunners and good size quilts.

All of the designs have well written instructions and great visuals.

This could also be a fun book for a quilt guild to base a challenge on, or a group of quilting friends to get together for a sew-cial.

And, of course, these projects would make for wonderful gifts or to keep and use in your home.

SewCalGal hopes you get a chance to check out this new book at your local quilt shop or favorite online shop.  Of course, you can also find this book online at Martingale or Amazon.
