Can a BOM Be Plain And Fancy?

SewCalGal struggles with how a BOM can be Plain and Fancy. It is easy to imagine a plain BOM, as well as a fancy BOM, but how can a single BOM be both?

To my delight and surprise I learned that a BOM can in fact be both "Plain and Fancy".  After all, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  And, with this BOM when you look at it closely you can see how one might think it truly is a Plain and Fancy BOM.

The very talented Wendy Sheppard (Ivory Spring) designed a beautiful quilt called "Plain and Fancy" using  new lines of fabric from Quilting Treasures, called Petals (calicos) and Matrix (blenders).

This is a BOM program that many quilt shops are offering.  If you are interested in this BOM program and your favorite local quilt shop or online shop isn't offering it, you may want to let them know you are interested. There is still plenty of time for them to sign up with Quilting Treasures to offer this BOM program to their customers.  You can click here for a list of quilt shops participating in this BO and contact them directly to let them know you are interested.

SewCalGal had the opportunity to see this quilt up close and personal, inside the Quilting Treasures booth at Quilt Market.  It is truly a spectacular quilt.  Gorgeous design and fabrics.

This BOM certainly looks like it would be a fun one to participate in.  And, I think those that do participate will be making a spectacular heirloom quilt that will be enjoyed for generous.  I hope you also enjoy this BOM!
