Secret Santa

Christmas is a time for fun, romance, surprises, time with family and friends, and even time to enjoy a good read with a cup of coffee, tea or hot cocoa.  As I  enjoy reading holiday stories this time of year, this seems like a perfect time to share insights with you about a new book "Secret Santa", which is a fun and entertaining holiday read.

During a busy holiday season, a short story allows for good entertainment even when we feel we can't find any extra free-time in the day.

SECRET SANTA

is a new paperback book with stories from four talented authors that each provide the reader with a fun holiday story that you'll love, yet want more!.  And, many of the stories have some tie to quilting, some may bring a heartwarming tear, but they are all delightful stories for the holiday.  And, I hope you'll find time to treat yourself to such a fun read.
a delightful time

The four stories in this book are:

"Mister Christmas" by Fern Michaels

A heartwarming story where a hard working attorney Claire O'Brien is summoned to Ireland, a week before Christmas, to work.  This entertaining read quickly captures the readers attention, as we follow Claire on her business adventure during the holiday season, to find disappointments and surprises along the way.  Once again, Fern does an excellent job telling an entertaining story, for a romantic holiday season.  You'll find this a difficult story to set this book down!

"The Yellow Rose of Christmas" by Marie Bostwick

Marie created another wonderful story that would be of interest to anyone new to her stories based in Too Much, Texas, as well as those that are familiar with the characters in this town.  This delightful Christmas read provides romantic mystery that certainly will get you in the mood for the holiday season, as well as enjoy the entertainment that a secret admirer can bring to any of us, especially one that many have thought was a spinster that would never find love in a small town in Texas.  Who is this secret admirer and will it be too late for Velvet?

"Nightmare on Elf Street" by Laura Levine

This sweet "who done it" mystery, focuses on a freelance writer that desperately needs a job.  She takes on a holiday job as Santa's Elf in a shopping mall, with the hope of turning this opportunity into a PR writing gig for this mall.  The story quickly becomes a mystery and has a surprising end.  It is a fun and fast read that certainly makes me want to read more by this author, and hopefully find the lead character in other books too!  Absolutely delightful read.

"Room at the Inn" by Cindy Myers

During the holidays many travel to be able to spend time with family or friends, or to simply get to a destination.  And, sometimes storms get in our way.  A variety of characters come together in a remote fishing camp, during a winter blizzard in Colorado.  They each realize their dreams for the holidays are not going to be fulfilled, but they make the best out of the situation and how they each utilize their strengths to make a wonderful holiday for the entire group is inspirational and heartwarming.

time to snuggle under a quilt and read a book

Again, all four of the stories in this book are heartwarming and I think you'll enjoy.  Perfect for the holiday season.  This book would also make an excellent gift to a quilty friend, as well as a stocking stuffer for anyone that enjoys a lighthearted and entertaining read.

SewCalGal gives "Secret Santa" a 5 out of 5 stars!

What a great review....just enough to pique my interest, not enough to give away the good stuff! This one I'll have to put on my list so Santa might get it for me!

Thank you for the recommendation! I am about halfway through a 900 page book, and feel like I need a little break before I continue. Your suggestion may be just the answer for some enjoyable "light" reading :)
