Congratulations to the Raffle Winners - Quilter's Bee Giving Charity Fundraiser

My hope was to raise $3,000 to benefit the four charities showcased in the Quilter's Bee Giving Charity Fundraiser.  Funds were raised by SewCalGal selling advertisement space for 2014, help from generous sponsors that donated prizes for an online auction and raffle, as well as Marjorie Busby providing a 30% donation from the sale of her beautiful machine embroidery designs.  I'm delighted to share that with your help (that includes everyone from sponsors, PR Angels, to those that bought raffle tickets and/or bid on items in the auction), we collectively raised almost $4,000 for four great causes!

Thank you to everyone that bought raffle tickets.  This virtual raffle utilized a spreadsheet to track your donation and for every $1 you donated you were given a number.  Overall, there were 612 raffle tickets issued.

And, for every $10 worth of raffle tickets that any individual purchased they were given a number for the Golden Raffle Ticket drawing. There were 60 Golden Raffle Tickets issued.

For both the raffle and the golden ticket I used the random number generator to select the number for tickets in the raffle, as well as the golden ticket drawing.  If a winner wishes to decline their prize that winner's name will be placed into a special drawing of unclaimed prizes, until all prizes have happy winners.  I will be sending out emails to all the winners to see if they want to claim their prize, or pass.  And, as stated, any unclaimed prize will first have a 2nd round of winners drawn from those that have declined a prize and if they decline that prize their name will be placed back into the pool of all raffle ticket holders and that prize will have a name drawn from "all" of the raffle ticket holders, until such time that a happy winner wants to claim that prize.

Some prizes do have sponsors that will ship the prize directly to the respective winner.  Yet, many prize bundles SewCalGal will be shipping.  These prizes were bundled to fit in flat rate envelopes, flat rate medium or large size boxes for shipping in the US.  While winners of prizes that SewCalGal will be shipping do not need to reside in the US, regardless of the winner being in the US or Intl, the winner will be asked to pay for shipping.  While SewCalGal is an affiliate with a few businesses, to help earn funds for shipping giveaways, I do not have enough funds to cover shipping all the prizes in this contest.  Thanks for understanding and agreeing when you accept your prize you will pay for shipping costs.
