Pincushions come in all sorts of sizes and shapes and make for an excellent gift to quilty friends. They have also become a popular design to make. Needless to say, I was delighted to learn of a new book that will be released in December, from Martingale and want to share insights with you about it today.
"Pincushion Appeal - Patterns for Pincushions to Make You Smile" by Cecile McPeak and Rachel Martin of Just Another Button Company is a delightful new book that has eight whimsical designs to help you create pin cushions with personality!
This new book will officially be released December 3rd. SewCalGal believes many of the projects in this book could be made in time for Christmas gifts, but would also make for great gifts any time of the year, as well as for decorating your home and actual use in your sewing room too!
Yes, these pincushions certainly make me smile and I hope they bring a smile to you too!
SewCalGal hopes you get a chance to check out this fun new book and hopefully create with it too!
There are also optional Embellishment kits, which are reasonably priced, to help make these cute pincushions.

Those are fun cushions. I used to see spools all over the place, consignments couldn't get rid of them, now they are a fortune, since everyone wants one, lol.
I have been working on my elf, to finish tonight, but decided I have the giveaway to go up and will hold up on it till monday so it gets a day to itself. On my fourth load of laundry and still have to clean the house, so time to get that out of the way so I can relax and stitch tonight.

so very cute! I needed the bride and groom when I made my daughter's wedding gown, but then it might have been put to ill use, lol. I'll definitely be getting this book!

Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh...I know those two wonderful ladies....how exciting. I'm so sad I missed them by not going to market. What a great book! I love pincushions...a lot!
