Jennifer Chiaverini, New York Times best-selling author of the Elm Creek Quilt Series novels and most recently, Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker, has donated her entire collection of signed books and an original quilt to a San Diego County elementary school to help them raise money at a school fundraising auction. The donation, which includes more than 20 of her published books, is highlighted by the "Springtime in Waterford" quilt, an original which was pieced by Chiaverini for her novel, The Winding Ways Quilt.
"We were stunned to receive this incredible gift!" said Becca Barr, Vice President of the Highland Ranch Educational Foundation and high school friend of the author. "We know this has significant value to those in both the literary and especially the quilting community, and would like to give those outside of our school the chance to bid on this truly unique prize."
The quilt and books will be sold as a complete set via live auction at the school fundraiser to be held on
