A very special art exhibit is scheduled over the weekend of May 4-5th in Westminster, Ca., that will showcase Hue Nguyen's current work in oils. The exhibit, "Hue Nguyen - New Journeys in Oils" is also a fundraiser to benefit the Smile Train.
You can meet this artist in person at the exhibit on Saturday, May 4th from 10am-7pm at Hoi Truong Van Lang Gallery.
All proceeds from sales of paintings will be donated to Smile Train (smiletrain.org), which repairs cleft lips/palates of needy children around the world. Nguyen is a longtime contributor to Smile Train.
If you are in Southern California, SewCalGal hopes you have the opportunity to see this art exhibit. And, I hope you'll also look for Hue Nguyen's art in Hoffman Fabrics at your local quilt shop or favorite online quilt shop. He is certainly very talented and very thoughtful too! And, this is a fun event where you'll have a chance to meet Hue Nguyen in person, see his beautiful art, as well as help SmileTrain.

I am not surprised that the designer of those beautiful fabrics is such an accomplished artist. Would love to go to the exhibit.
What beautiful paintings. My son sleeps like that baby with his butt in the air smiles.
I have supported this charity, The Smile Train. It makes sense to help a child have a better life and not be hindered by physical appearance.
I hope to get to the exhibit. I am putting it on my calendar now.
BTW, if you go to this exhibit plan on having lunch at Brodard's. You can yelp it. Fantastic!
Economical, delicious and popular! There are two. I have only been to the one in the Mall of Fortune (no kidding!)
What a gift and talent this man has....incredible. The fabrics are always so lovely at Hoffman and they sure are lucky to have him on their team.
Love the way he is using his gift to support those in need of a smile. Excellent cause.
Wish I could be there....sounds like a wonderful exhibit.
Smiles,
Kelly
I so wish I could go there and see the exhibit. His work is terrific and that charity is close to my heart too. Thanks for letting me know about him.
