Christmas Wish List Ideas & Other Fun Opportunities

Christmas is 32 shopping days away which means it is time to start thinking about what you may want to think about Christmas Shopping, as well as what you may want for Christmas.  I thought I'd share a few of my favorite ideas with you.  But, before I do I want to tell you about Fingertip Shopping, which is a new blog that I started that focuses on periodically sharing insights on super deals, as hosting an Amazon Affiliate Store.  If you are purchasing anything on Amazon, if you make that purchase thru SewCalGal's Affiliate Store, I get a few pennies back from each purchase and I use those towards shipping costs of Fun Friday Giveaways, 2012 FMQ Challenge Prizes, etc.  Thank you to those that do shop via my Amazon Affiliate store, as well as those that follow or visit Fingertip Shopping.

On Wednesday of this week, I'll be sharing special insights on Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday deals for quilting, sewing and embroidery enthusiasts.  You'll find this post on Fingertip Shopping, as this is where I share all insights on sales and super deals.  I'm just sneaking a few insights in here at SewCalGal today....

CHRISTMAS WISH LIST:  What do you have on your Christmas Wish List?  Here are some items that you may want to add to your Christmas Wish List, or give as a gift.  And, insights on some fun opportunities too!

A Silhouette Cameo is a great tool to help cut fabric, paper and more without having to use dies.  Of course, I'm hoping Santa will put one under my Christmas Tree this year too!

Silhouette is also hosting the "Letter to Santa Contest" where you can enter to win your own Silhouette Cameo or other Silhouette products.  But you need to submit your entry by December 5th.  Just click this ribbon "Letter to Santa Contest" for your entry form and more information.

The Fiskars 45-mm Titanium Rotary Cutter would certainly make a great stocking stuffer, or gift for any quilter.
I'm hoping Santa will bring me a Fiskars Rotary Blade for perforating.  I can't seem to find them in my local stores and have several projects I want to make that require a perforating blade.  Of course, when I share insights on what I'm doing with it, I think everyone will want one, so you may want to go ahead and add it to your Christmas Wish List too!

If I'm really good, maybe Santa will bring me a Sizzix Big Shot Pro.  I like the ease of cutting and the ergo handle, plus the ability of using dies from a variety of manufacturers.  And, of course, the price of the Sizzix dies are very reasonable.

These cute quilt earrings would certainly be fun to wear and perfect size and price for a stocking stuffer or gift to a quilting friend.

How about some Software?  EQ7, Quiltmaker Quilting Designs,  or a new software package to help you design a variety of things (machine embroidery, cutwork, cut fabric shapes for applique', cut templates for adding crystals to your projects in design shapes you can create)?  Does this sound like a dream software program?  Having recently seen a demo, this software certainly looks powerful, yet easy to use. Many things can be done with one click!  Artistic Suite V6.0 is an amazing software program, and compared to other programs, that have some of the functionality, it is reasonably priced too!

They also have a version of this software called Artistic Crystals that allows you to create designs that can help you add Crystals to your project.  SewCalGal definitely sees opportunities for designers to not only create unique designs for their projects, but to create and sell sheets with your crystal designs for others that do not have this software, to add your designs to their projects.  For the designer using this software it is also compatible with the Silhouette Cameo and other electronic cutting systems too!

SewCalGal is definitely wanting to create using Artistic Suite V6.0 .  Possibilities look endless.

So, what do you have on your Christmas Wish List this year?

Don't forget:

  • check out Fingertip Shopping this Wednesday for insights on Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday deals for quilting, sewing and embroidery enthusiasts.
  • Michele Hester (Quilting Tutorials) is now hosting the annual Christmas Quilt Show which starts this coming Friday.
  • SewCalGal is hosting a Quilter's Christmas Party on Sunday, December 9th.  You can win a door prize just for coming to the party.  Bloggers and non-bloggers are invited to link up and share insights on their plans for the  holidays, what they are working on, tips, tutorials, anything with a Christmas theme.  It is a virtual party that I hope everyone will come to.

Can you imagine having all those fun things? Then we'd need more hours in the day to learn and play with it all...I don't know where I'd start first! They all look like fun.

Thanks for sharing...I'm keeping my wishlist to myself...evil giggles.

Smiles,
Kelly

Oh you do have some amazing items on your wishlist. My wishlist would include EQ7 and a new laptop computer of my own. But, I know that I will have to wait for those, cause Christmas will be more for the kids this year. Maybe I can get it for Christmas in July.
