501 Quilting Motifs Designs For Hand Or Machine Quilting

I'm always looking for ideas for new free-motion quilting designs and was excited when I heard about the new book "501 Quilting Motifs, Designs for Hand or Machine Quilting", by Martingale & Company, home of That Patchwork Place.

After having a chance to check out this quilt book, I wanted to share insights with you today.  This book was compiled by Quiltmaker Magazine, over a 26 period, and contains 501 quilting motifs that are perfect for machine quilters, hand quilters and/or longarm quilters.

The collect of designs  include a variety of quilt designs organized into groups by Children/Teens, Feathers, Flowers, Foods, Geometric Shapes, Hearts, Seasonal/Holiday, Vines and Leaves, and Circle and Angle Patterns.
The book is also  spiral bound making it easy to copy and/or trace designs.

Insights are also shared, in this book, to help with motif selection, adjusting size, transferring motifs, positioning, marking and more.

I hope you'll have a chance to check out this book at your local quilt store, or online at Martingale & Company.

Thanks for the review. I've been eyeballing this book and considering ordering it. Sounds like the format is well thought out and user friendly.

Really nice! I'm always collecting these kinds of books, and now I have a bazillion! However, I'm convinced just one more will have that "perfect" pattern for the next quilt! Thanks for sharing!

I recently heard about this book. I think this would be a great one to have on hand.

I think that would be a nice book to have. I always print out designs I can use later, but nicer to have a book with lots of designs to use as reference.

I can use all the help I can get when quilting the quilt. This looks like another good reference book to have.
