Simple Appeal: 14 Patchwork and Applique' Projects for Everyday Living

Kim Diehl is an amazing quilter, quilt designer, teacher, author and fabric designer.  Her latest book "Simple Appeal" is now a very popular book that can be found in quilt shops.  And, I'm excited to share insights about this book today, as well as host a giveaway where you could win a copy of this amazing book, packed with wonderful designs, oodles of tips and fun.



Simple Appeal shares 14 new designs by Kim, along with her time saving tips, to create simple yet beautiful quilts that are comfy and also heartwarming decorator items.



Projects range in size for a super cute patty cake pincushion to table toppers, lap quits, wall quilts, and a bed quilt.


Techniques covered in this book include traditional patchwork, invisible machine applique', as well as wool applique' on cotton backgrounds.


All of the designs come with easy to follow instructions and great visuals.


Designs include a combination of traditional piecing and machine applique.


It is easy to fall in love with Kim's designs, use of colors and fabrics.  They always create stunning quilts, which can easily become heirloom quilts.

  12. I have made "All In A Row" in a table runner version, and I miniaturized the pattern and made a tiny quilt, too. Two weeks ago I took a class from Kim and am currently working on the project from that class, Dresden Dish Garden. LOVE her stuff! Have many more on my bucket list!

  14. Kim's designs are some of my favorites. I LOVE her color choices and the way she mixes piecing and appliqué, cotton and wool. I wish I had her talent, unfortunately I can only copy her masterpieces. Thanks for the generous giveaway. ;-> Toni Anne
