Artful Applique II

Are you familiar with Scraplique?  As a lover of applique and scraps, I just love this term that Jane Townswick has created.  Jane is an accomplished author, editor, teacher, and former quilt-shop owner.  She has also been an instructor at the esteemed Elly Sienkiewicz Applique' Academy since 2000.  In her book "Artful Applique II", Jane introduces Scraplique', a free-form technique for applique that creates very spectacular and unique designs that a mosaic like fabric compositions.

"Artful Applique II", published by Martingale & Company, home of That Patchwork Place, is an amazing book that introduces 12 new floral designs.  This book has excellent instructions and visuals for applique techniques, color blending, free-form stems and branches,  as well as the mosaic-like scraplique technique that Jane has beautifully created.

There is also a wonderful Gallery of inspirational quilts and wallhangings.

And, of course, all of the 12 floral blocks are absolutely beautiful.

This is an amazing book and a perfect book for anyone interested in applique.

I am in love with this book and believe Jane Townswick has created another inspirational book.

This book is available for purchase from Martingale & Company.
