I have been having fun making flannel charity quilts for children. I currently have 15 quilts sandwiched and ready for machine quilting (all similar to the quilt shown above). While I love to make charity quilts, these "flannel" quilts ended up on the top of my UFO list due to several reasons.
It began when I used the AccuQuilt Go to make a flannel rag quilt. I had never used flannel fabric previously. With the use of the AccuQuiltGo I found making rag quilts to be very easy. While I would have typically tossed my scraps, from the rag quilts, the AccuQuiltGo really helps me save money as I will now gladly cut scraps into usable pieces, that I would have previously tossed.
I decided to cut my left over flannel pieces into strips to make scrap quilts for charity Then I won a couple of giveaway contests that offered flannel scraps & fabric as prizes. Thanks to Margaret (http://www.quiltsoflove.blogspot.com/) and Jill (http://jillquilts.blogspot.com/) for giving me more flannel fabric to make these charity quilts. And thanks to AccuQuilt for making the Go, as the AccuQuiltGo made it a breeze to cut all this fabric.

Saturday, Oct 10 from 11 am to 3 pm. And, I'll also be giving AccuQuiltGo demonstrations on on Saturdays Oct 24, Nov 21, Dec 5 and Dec 12 at Rosies.
To clarify, I am not paid for these demonstrations. I just love the AccuQuiltGo cutter and want more people to have a chance to see what it can do! Pop by Rosie's and see a demo soon.
I'm glad to see you have used them well. That is quite the view you have too from your sewing room!
ReplyDeleteIf i was in town, I would come buy. You should get paid to promote their product becuase you are doing a good job.

What a great testimonial! You should submit your blog to them so they can see what you are up to. Maybe they will send you a free die!
ReplyDeleteWhat a view! I would sew & cut all day with that gorgeous view, if I could get in off that deck, that is :)
