Year of Red and White Quilt Challenges; Great fun, Generous Sponsors, Many Ways To Enter and Win!

There are 47 prizes in the Year of Red and White Quilt Challenges, thanks to our generous sponsors:

 Aurifil

As some may not understand how they can win prizes, today I want to try to clarify how prizes will be awarded:

First, 46 of the 47 prizes will be randomly be awarded to participants of the events that comprise the Year of Red and White Quilt Challenges this year.  One of those prizes was sponsored by Island Batik, where they selected their favorite design in the Design It! Challenge.  All of the other prizes (46) will be split among participants in each of the events in the Year of Red and White Quilt Challenges:

Kick Off - Electric Quilt Red and White Theme Blog Hop

Show It  - Part 1 - Red and White Quilts Made Prior to 2014

Design It! Challenge

Make It! Challenge which is currently open to anyone that wants to make a red/white theme quilt of any size, any style, of their own design or a free or purchased design.  Last date to submit your entry is September 30th.  To clarify, your entry need not be 100% finished, but needs to at least have the top finished and be quilt that was made in 2014.

Soon, the two final events in the Year of Red and White Quilt Challenges will be opened and everyone is invited to participate.  Even if you participated in prior events this year, or even if you didn't, you are welcome to participate in these events.  You simply need to follow the rules which are pretty simple.  Make (complete) a red/white theme quilt in 2014 of any size, any style and enter it in either the virtual show red/white quilts where you made it and designed it, OR the virtual show where you made a red/white quilt with a free or purchased design.

Show It - Part 2 - You Made It/You Designed It

red and white quilt show - Show It - You design and Made it

This is a virtual quilt show for those that designed and made their red and white quilt in 2014.  Quilts should be finished to enter. Both Bloggers and non-bloggers will be able to share their red and white quilt projects that they've made in 2014, to also enter to win prizes in this challenge.  While you may have previously entered your quilt in the Make It! Challenge (or not entered it), entering this event gives you an extra entry in the Year of Red and White Quilt Challenges.  This event also allows Designers and want to be designers a way to show off their designs that they have made in 2014, that are appropriate for red/white quilts!

Challenge Timeline:  October lst - 10th.  SewCalGal will release a blog post with linky on October lst where bloggers and non-bloggers can link up and enter to win prizes.

Part 2 - Show It  -  Made with Purchased/Free Designs

red and white quilt show - Show It - Not the Designer, but you Made it_edited-1

This is a virtual quilt show for those that may have purchased a pattern or book, or used a free pattern, to make their red and white quilt in 2014.  Both Bloggers and non-bloggers will be able to share their red and white quilt projects that they've made in 2014, to also enter to win prizes in this challenge.  You may have previously shared your design in the Make It Challenge, but you can still enter in this event and get an extra entry.  Again, the intent of this virtual show is to share a quilt of any size, any style, with a red/white theme, which you made in 2014 using a free or purchased pattern.
