This technique looks like a great stash buster, as well as to use with new coordinated fabrics. And, for those that enjoy free-motion quilting, it also looks like a fun technique that just lends itself to show off beautiful free-motion quilting.

Excellent! I can't wait to try this now that I've got my curve sewing conquered. I wonder how hard it is to do a much bigger piece, like for a baby quilt. I'll be playing with this soon.
