Today SewCalGal is participating in a blog hop, hosted by Stitch This! (Martingale)
We are celebrating the release of a new book from Martingale, "Celebrate Christmas With That Patchwork Place: 22 Festive Projects to Quilt and Sew". At every stop in this blog hop you'll learn more about this inspirational new book, as well as get a chance to win an e:book copy. Plus we want to inspire you to make handmade items to decorate your home for the holidays and for gifts too!
Martingale always has excellent books, perfect for quilters of all levels, by a variety of talented quilters. And the staff at Martingale are very talented quilters too! SewCalGal has grown quite fond of books written by the Martingale staff and is delighted to see this new book is full of 22 fabulous projects, all designed by them!
Projects range in size from ornaments, coin purses, pillows, table runners, wall hangings and a beautiful throw quilt. And every design comes with well written instructions, which have great visuals and are easy to follow. Thus, SewCalGal feels this book is perfect for beginners, as well as advanced quilters looking for fun holiday project ideas.
These projects are perfect to make to decorate your home for Christmas or Hanukkah, and there are also many winter-themed projects. In addition to making things to decorate your home, these projects would also make excellent gifts!
With 22 projects, this book is truly an exceptional value. SewCalGal views this is a "must have" for anyone that enjoys making holiday projects.
There are many projects that will most likely turn out to be holiday heirlooms to decorate your home and create special memories for years to come.
SewCalGal actually loves ALL of the projects in this book. It would be difficult to pick my absolute favorite, or to only make one project. I'm certainly looking forward to making quite a few projects from this book for this upcoming holiday season.
Of course, I hope you'll make a few projects from this book too! And, if you do, I hope you'll enter them in the Make It A Handmade Christmas Challenge that I'm hosting this year. There are monthly Linky Parties, with over 70 prizes that will be awarded before the holidays, that are open from the 15th to the 25th of every month. Martingale is also a sponsor of this challenge.
