Cheri Leffler is a quilter, designer, teacher and author from Heletos, Texas. She has just written a super fun new book "Animal Parade: Adorable Applique' Quilt Patterns For Babies", which was published by Martingale.
This book has ten absolutely delightful designs, each with well written instructions that are easy to follow and come with great visuals.
Each design uses simple pieced backgrounds with whimsical applique.
You can use needle-turn or fusible applique' techniques.
There are full size applique patterns included in the book (no need to take to a printer to enlarge templates). There is also a good section on applique' and stitching.
And while these designs are for baby quilts, I anticipate there will be many quilters that will make some of these designs for kids of all ages. After all, don't you see a design that you personally would like to snuggle up with?
Projects range in size from 40 1/2" x 52 1/2" to 54 1/2" x 62 1/2".

Those quilts are adorable! Thanks for the info.
Cheri works in my local shop, Memories by the Yard. Her wonderful baby quilts are all hanging from the ceiling! The quilts are ADORABLE--even cuter in person than in the photos. If you need an extra charming quilt for special little (or not so little) people in your life, you should buy her book!!

I've been a huge fan of Cheri's for years and I'm so excited to finally have her book in my hands. Her designs are all adorable.
