Easy-Cut Quilts And A Giveaway

Landauer Publishing has released a new booklet of quilting patterns that I'm delighted to be able to share insights with you today:  "Easy Cut Quilts with A Modern Twist", written by Laurel Albright and Editors at Landauer Publishing is filled with refreshing modern quilt designs.

There are seven (7) projects in this book, all made using pre-cuts, but SewCalGal thinks you could easily apply these designs to fabrics in your stash or purchased yardage.

And don't overlook that there is a special "twist" to each pattern, where you can actually make 13 more projects (all smaller than the original design), making this book an exception value.

Projects range in size from 55 1/2" x 677" to 84" x 205 1/2" and every design pattern comes with well written instructions and great visuals.

There is even a greyscale planning PDF on the Landauer's site that you can download to plan projects made with this book.

I hope you get a chance to check out this book at your local quilt shop, favorite online shop or at Landauer's online shop.  And Landauer also has a short you-tube video that provides more insight:

Did I Mention A Giveaway?

Thanks to Landauer Publishing, SewCalGal is hosting a giveaway for followers of SewCalGal.

Due to shipping costs and limited funds by SewCalGal, this giveaway is open to US Only winners.  SewCalGal will pay to mail this prize to a follower.   If you are interested in winning a copy of this book, please follow the steps in the rafflecopter form below to enter.

But first, SewCalGal does want to confess that she is late in shipping prizes to winners.  Thus, this giveaway is scheduled for February 14th partly to celebrate Valentine's Day and partly to give me time to catch up. Either way, for patient followers interested in winning I hope you appreciate the opportunity and that SewCalGal will pay to ship the winner this prize.

And, I hope everyone also appreciates Landauer Publishing for providing this book for SewCalGal to provide an honest review and for offering this book as a giveaway.

I've been trying to figure out what to do with my precuts. I love that the book has a modern focus. It's easy to make something traditional, but it seems to take a little more work to make it modern.
