Welcome to the Kick Off of the Quilter's Bee Giving Charity Fundraising Campaign

Welcome to the Quilter's Bee Giving, a Charity Fundraiser that SewCalGal is hosting. This event will be held through December 15th.  Like a blog hop, there are stops in this event where you can learn about four great causes that fellow quilters are passionate about, as well as how you can win amazing quilty prizes should you be willing to donate to these non-profits.  If you wish to donate, your check can be made payable to any of the four non-profits and 100% of all donations will go directly to these charities!

I have a spreadsheet where I'm tracking every raffle ticket purchase (aka Donation) and a number will be assigned to the donor.  SewCalGal will use a random number generator to draw the virtual raffle tickets and announce the winners of all the raffle prizes.  Auction prizes will be awarded to the highest bidder, but no one will know exactly when any auction item will close so submit your best bids early and remember 100% of the funds go to the non-profit charities being showcased in this event.

This event focuses on increasing awareness of four non-profits.  I hope you will take time to visit the bloggers who are passionate about their favorite charity and sharing insights with you on their blog:

SewCalGal wishes to thank the following Sponsors that have generously donated prizes for to help raise funds for these charities:

Click here to see the raffle prizes and info.  More information will be shared shortly on the  auction prizes, but a list of all donations can be found on the page labeled "Charity".  This page will also be updated throughout this event, always containing links to the most current information. I am working with sponsors to get last minute donations added to that page and finish basketizing raffle and auction items.  Raffle tickets are $1 each and you can write your check made payable to your favorite of the four charities being showcased in this event. Email SewCalGal  email address copy for more info on purchasing raffle tickets.  Plus, for every $10 of raffle tickets you automatically get entered to win an amazing Golden Ticket Prize (aka Grand Prize).

SewCalGal has a goal of raising $3,5000 (or more) for these charities and I need your help.  100% of the proceeds will be donated to these charities.  SewCalGal has also offered advertisement space where 100% of the advertisement fee will be donated to these non-profits. To date, over $1,400 has been raised through such PR advertisements and we hope to reach our fundraising goal by way of raffle ticket sales and auction items.

For each each $10 donation to one of the four charities, via the raffle,  you will also be entered to win a special prize.   These "Golden" tickets are given out for every $10 donation for a special drawing.  AKA Grand Prize in the raffle drawing.

note:  As this is a fundraiser, SewCalGal is also asking winners to pay for shipping costs of their respective prize(s).

Don't forget to pop over to visit the four blogs participating in this event, to learn more about the amazing charities they are passionate about.
