Button bracelets are fun to create and wear. They can be inexpensive and fast to make. And, they make for great gifts! Plus, they can be perfect accessories for quilting, sewing and embroidery enthusiasts.
When I spotted an inspirational tutorial at Lillyella Crafting for button bracelets, I knew I had to add this to my list of Favorite Tutorials and share it with you. This is a well written tutorial that is inspires us to create beautiful bracelets with buttons.
Lillyella's tutorial is excellent, and I hope it inspires you to create a button bracelet. While bracelets can be created using elastic that she recommends, in a variety of widths, it can also be created using some elastic cording that is used in jewelry making. "Stretch Magic" can typically be found at JoAnns and various craft stores and it works well for making button bracelets too!
I hope you'll enjoy creating using the tutorial by Lilyella and also try various elastic products to find your favorite. And, when you are creating Button bracelets I also hope you'll check out a variety of buttons.
I'm quite fond of Button Mad (Incomparable Buttons). They have a large collection of buttons that would certainly be fun to create Button Bracelets with, to keep or give as gifts. They are all handmade in South Africa, through a small woman owned business that provides jobs to women in South Africa.
They have some super cute buttons that would certainly make for a fun bracelets for any event, throughout the year, but a Halloween theme Button Bracelet certainly is on my mind. Love these cute buttons from ButtonMad and think they'd make a beautiful bracelet, as well as a perfect embellishment for many quilts, purses and other handmade items.
And, I also love the many sewing and quilting themed buttons available at ButtonMad. Wouldn't these make for a beautiful button bracelet to wear to Quilt Market, Quilt Festival, any quilt show, or quilt guild meeting using these beautiful handmade buttons?
SewCalGal hopes you enjoy this inspirational tutorial and will also check out the beautiful buttons at ButtonMad. And please share a photo if you create a button bracelet. Feel free to post on my Facebook page.
