It is the summer's great last heat,
It is the fall's first chill; They meet.

Does the arrival of Autumn call out to you to create and have fun? It certainly does for me and I want to let you know about a few activities planned at SewCalGal to celebrate....
Autumn De-Stash Sale October 14th-18th
Many Quilters find that they may have too many things to store in their limited quilting space, or items that they may no longer be interested in. As such, SewCalGal has been encouraging Quilting, Sewing and Embroidery enthusiasts to "De-Stash" every Fall and Spring. You may have items you want to sell, trade, or giveaway. This is the opportunity for you to find a new home for your treasures, as well as others to find super deals. This Fall, our Autumn De-Stash Sale will be hosted on Fingertip Shopping October 14th-18th. Start going thru your stash to see what you may want to De-Stash. A linky will be setup for bloggers and non-bloggers, at Fingertip Shopping, on October 14th. It will be free for those sharing items in their stash and a nominal fee will be charged for those selling items via their store (e.g. ESTSY, etc.).
Fall Machine Embroidery Blog Hop, November 4-8th
Quilters with Modern Tools, have been hosting machine embroidery blog hops every Fall and Spring. We like to showcase various machine embroidery designers. Tips, tutorials and inspiration are shared in this blog hop, and many of the embroidery designers sponsor giveaways too! Mark your calendar for the week of November 4th!
Quilter's Bee Giving Charity Fundraiser
in November we'll party the entire month with this event fun event where you can help raise funds for 3-5 great causes. Details will be announced on SewCalGal on November lst, when you'll have a chance to purchase raffle tickets or bid on auction items that will help raise funds for great causes. Sneak Peaks will be shared in October, as sponsors are identified, as well as all Blogger Champions have been identified. For now, we'll have:
- Marjorie's Quilting Bee sharing insights on Hope for HH
- Green Fairy Quilts sharing insights on their charity to help poor in Romania
- Jaybird Quilts sharing insights on Alex's Lemonade Stand is Fighting Childhood Cancer, One Cup at a Time

And, throughout Fall, SewCalGal is committed to sharing insights for quilting, sewing and embroidery enthusiasts that will hopefully inspire you, as well as offer you a way to learn. Plus, they'll be several giveaways every month!
SewCalGal hopes what ever you do this Fall you have find time to enjoy and create.

By the way, I love your new fall-themed "wallpaper." Perfect for all of the autumnal festivities coming up!
I too love your new "wallpaper" Your blog looks very lovely and refreshed :-)
Love the blog redo - the colors are so wonderful for fall. I am always looking for "lighter" color schemes for fall and this is so perfect. And all of your artwork is so pretty and perfect for the events they celebrate.
