Large-Block Quilts, by Victoria L. Eapen

With the arrival of Spring, I must confess I was drawn to the cover of "Large-Block Quilts: 16 Quick and Easy Quilt Patterns", by Victoria L. Eapen, published by Martingale.

The design on the cover is modern, refreshing and uses fun fabrics in beautiful colors.  The name of this design is "Hidden Baskets" and detailed instructions with excellent visuals are provided to make this quilt which measures 50 1/2" x 63" where finished blocks are 12 1/2"x12 1/2".

Like the quilt design on the cover, the designs in this book are modern and use big blocks to help make beautiful quilts quickly.  Each design comes with Martingale's trademark of easy to follow instructions, with great visuals, making this book an excellent book for a beginner quilters as well as advanced quilters.

All of the designs are borderless.  Projects range in size of 38" x 38" to 90 1/2" x 90 1/2".  And, the majority of the block sizes are 16", 18" and 20" blocks that help to make for fast quilts!

I love the "hidden baskets" - I saw those in the design before I read the description. How fun!

That first one is marvelous - love the baskets peeking from the design. This one is on my list for when taxes are done. LOL

This looks like a really good book... I need another book like ai need another hole in my head. but, ya know...another hole could be good for letting off more steam??? =P

and another book...yeah, they help to hold the bookshelves from floating to the ceiling.
