You are invited to the Golden Quilter Awards Ceremony and Post-Ceremony Giveaway Party

golden quilter awards 2013 who is invited

You can come to this event casually dressed, but attendees wear beautiful quilty outfits, and some like to wear a lot of bling to this event.  Last year, Judy Chain (Sew Fun Quilts) wore a pair of super cute silver rhinestone encrusted tenny shoes and was seen dancing on top of tables at one of the after parties.  SewCalGal, and many others,  sure would love to see Judy up dancing again.
The world famous Padsworth (Lilypad Quilting) will be our Emcee, and we'll have some fun entertainment too!  He has been busy coordinating "Padsworth's Project", where volunteers help make pet beds for their local animal shelters and get an extra entry in the giveaway for the annual Pets on Quilts event, hosted by Lilypad Quilting every summer, but I'm delighted to have him take a break to be the Emcee for the Awards Ceremony.  I understand he is going to the Pond Spa for a good soak and then will get a massage so he'll be energized for this event.

Sponsors of the
2013 Golden Quilter Awards:

The Fat Quarter ShopSew Fun Quilts, Kelly Jackson (I Have A Notion), CT Publishing, Aurifil, Bonnie K. Hunter (Quiltville), Udder Cream ,  Martingale and Fabrics N Quilts.

Sponsors have generously donated wonderful prizes.  And, those that vote by February 28th can also get entered to win a prize.  Previous entries have been given to those that joined the nomination committee, as well as PR Angels.  As recognition is one of the best gifts we can give the nominees and winners, PR Angels are also invited to help recognize the winners by way of writing a blog post between March lst-3rd to give recognition to the winners and submit the url to your post via this Raflecopter form.    Giveaway winners will be announced as the 2013 Golden Quilter Awards Ceremony after parties wind down, on Monday, March 4th.  Prizes will be randomly selected based on categories of PR Angels, Nomination Committee, those that voted, and those that attend the 2013 Golden Quilters Awards Ceremony (post on March lst, where winners are announced).

For a complete list of prizes, please read the main page for this event which you can find as a tab labeled "Golden Quilter Awards".

Please don't forget SewCalGal is the host for this event, with duties of  facilitating the annual process for the Golden Quilter Awards.  As such, she can not nominate, be nominated, nor vote, nor win prizes!  Thus, these awards couldn't happen without help from quilters from all over the world.  As such, I do hope you'll come back and participate in the 2014 Golden Quilter Awards.  SewCalGal will  send out email reminders to those that have signed up for optional email updates (sign up on the right hand column).

Every year, there are some core categories of the Golden Quilter Awards (e.g. Best Teacher, Best Quilt Store, Best Author, Lifetime Achievement Award, etc) and some new categories.  This year, there are twelve categories of awards for those in the business.

  1. Best Quilt Designer

  3. Best Quilt Book Author
  4. Best Teacher/Instructor
  5. Best Quilt Store (physical)

While we do not have a Hall of Fame, all of the winners of previous Golden Quilter Awards are recognized on the main page for this event, as well as in previously published posts for each year's Awards. This main page, which is labeled "Golden Quilter Awards" will also be updated throughout this event to share current links to appropriate posts.  SewCalGal encourage everyone to check this main page periodically, to keep current on this event.

Sure hope to see you at the Golden Quilter Awards Ceremony on March lst.  Feel free to invite all your quilting friends to come too!

Sounds like I'll miss the party. I'll just have to do a little extra mingling with Mary Mulari and Nancy Zeman that night - because that's where I'll be. BUT - I could wear something fancy there.....hmmmm......one thing it WON'T be is skinny jeans...LOL
