There are 40 12-inch block designs that come with a color image of the block and templates for foundation piecing. You'll also find a great section on how to do foundation piecing, as well as many other quilting tips. And there are 8 quilt patterns included, that are made with blocks in this book.
Carol Doak is a best-selling author, teacher and lecturer and an award-winning quilt maker. SewCalGal can easily see why this book is out of print and for those lucky enough to snag a copy for their quilt library will certainly enjoy it!
While this book is out of print, printed copies are still available through Amazon.
Do you think Martingale should make an e:book of this publication?

This looks like a great book to add to my library. I am not a big fan of paper piecing with it's with the tiny tiny blocks, but 12 inch blocks sound more manageable. Will have to look for her book.
I am not a fan of paper piecing but I do love how it turns out.
OMG -- I HAVE this book! I think I bought it way back when I could barely sew a straight line, got intimidated, and put it away. I need to pull it out again; I've been admiring a lot of paper pieced quilting online lately and maybe I'm ready to try it myself now. Thanks for reminding me about this book!
I love when a company makes e-books available....space is at a premium in my sewing area, so having the ability to view a book on my PC appeals to me. Paper piecing, however, has not been kind to me - or shall I say that I have not been kind to it? LOL I've heard, tho, that Carol is an awesome instructor, so maybe there is hope for me, especially with larger blocks!
I haven't done any paper piecing in a long time & always enjoyed seeing the end results. Carol is the "Queen" for sure. Yes..Martingale needs to re-print or produce an e copy. Lots of new quilters out there in cyberland! They could do that for a lot of their books...
