SewCalGal tries to research and share insights on anything that might be of interest to quilting, sewing and embroidery enthusiasts. This also includes sharing insights on Sales! Recently, I shared insights on an amazing sale with CT Publishing. Today, I am delighted to be able to share insights with one of the wonderful books that I picked up at this sale.
Mindful Meandering: 132 Original Continuous-Line Quilt Designs, by Laura Lee Fritz, published by CT Publishing in 2008.
This book is packed with 132 fun continuous line quilting designs. There are a few pages in this book that share insights on what you can do with these designs, but for the most part this book is full of doodles that would work well for continuous line quilt designs, thus providing a resource of design ideas appropriate for longarm quilters and those doing free-motion quilting on a domestic sewing machine.
I hope you get a chance to check out this book at your local quilt store or at CT Publishing's online store. This isn't a must have book for your library, but it is still a good resource for those wanting to build a library of continuous line (free motion) quilting designs.
You may also want to check out my list of books appropriate for those interested in learning/improving their free motion quilting skills. I update this list frequently and it also contains links for when I do a review on one of these books.
