Road to California Quilt Show: Sightings of Southern California Quilters

The Road to California Quilt Show is a juried show that can be extremely competitive to get your quilt on display at this show.  Quilters from around the world enter their quilts in this show, creating a quilt show of the best of the best.

While touring this vast show of spectacular quilts, I tried to search to spot as quilt that had been created by Southern California Quilters.  While, I probably didn't get a photograph of all the quilts, I'm delighted to be able to showcase many of the quilts, from Southern California quilters, that made it into the 2012 Road to California Quilt Show.

There were many visually stimulating and inspirational quilts at this show, from all over the world.  I just wanted to share with you some that were created by some very talented Southern California Quilters.  My apology to any quilter from Southern California that had a quilt on exhibit at this show that I didn't get a picture of to share.

I hope you will consider coming to this show and conference in 2013.  We have mild winters and Disneyland is nearby, making this show a perfect location to bring the entire family!  Just be sure to mark your calendar:

Thank you for spotlighting the amazing talent we have here in Southern California. Hopefully some day there will be an entry from a certain quilter in Long Beach, lol. It is my long term goal to have a quilt hanging in that amazing show.

Great idea to post these gorgeous quilts from Southern California. FWIW, the Best of Show winners, Molly and Nancy, are from Tehachapi and Bakersfield, which falls in that weird area, not quite Northern and not quite Southern. (I have a particular interest in this because I am from Tehachapi, too!)

Thanks for the beautiful show!

Thank you for these from the Road. I have not been able to attend the last two years - always some conflict at the last minute, and I only live 20 minutes away. A great show!
