Fun Friday Giveaway: Lighted Pin Picker Uppers

I recently picked up two Lighted Pin Picker Uppers, one for my sewing room and one for my husband.  We both have fallen in love with this very handy tool.  And, today three lucky quilters have a chance at winning one for their very own.

These lightweight pin picker uppers compact to a small size, yet easily extends to a 28" reach with a cushion grip handle to prevent possible slipping.
There is also a bright LED light that can easily be turned on or off.  And the part that has the light is magnetic, making it a breeze to pick up pins that have fallen on the ground.  No more bending down to pick up a pin for me.    Plus, it is so much easier to see the pins on the floor with this LED light  too!

This product is really a very reasonable price, making this a great product for quilting, sewing and even embroidery enthusiasts, along with those that may want to pick up screws, nails and other parts that "garage" hobbiest may drop, from time to time.  My DH can certainly vouch for this product too, but admittedly he doesn't call it a "pin" picker upper.

Did I mention a giveaway?  "Toys for Quilters" is our Fun Friday Sponsor today and they have generously offered 3 pin picker uppers to be given away to followers of SewCalGal.  But, first, I want to share a little insight with you about this company.

Their motto is  "quilting is the Toy Department of Life" and their mission is to bring fun and unique toys to quilters.   They offer a variety of Quilting and Sewing Notions, Tools and Toys for sale, at all reasonable prices.  And, they have some yummy fabric too!

Before you enter any giveaway, I hope you'll read my post "WANTED: Quilters that do not win in giveaways" for insights on what you can do to increase your chances of winning. This list is updated periodically, as I encounter various no-reply bloggers (aka those that can't win at giveaways as they can't be contacted).
If you would like to win one of these very handy Lighted Pin Picker Upper,  simply leave a comment on this post.

Want an extra entry?  Visit "Toys for Quilters" to take a look at their wonderful products.  Come back here and leave another comment telling me what your favorite product is at Toys for Quilters.

This looks like a useful tool. Thanks for a chance to win.

Oh, I'd love one of these! When I was at Fabric Depot, one of the assistants in the notions department was swooning over this.

Thanks for the giveaway.

There are a lot of fun things to choose from at this shop. I would choose the little chicken snips--I've never seen any like them. We have four chickens, so I'm a sucker for anything hen-related.

I have an ordinary magnetic one and it's great, but it's hard to see the pins that fall behind the table, so one with a light would be great!

I think it is a must have for any sewing room or anywhere you are using pins

I went to the new 'toy store'. There's a lot of stuff but I think 'The Stand' is my favorite - small enough to be next to the sewing machine with whatever notes are needed at that time. Thanks.

I always worry about our dog coming in the sewing room and 'finding' my pins for me. With this great little tool, I could scan the carpet and not risk her finding the pins for me. Great idea!

I went over to the store and love all the gadgets, but if I have to choose, I'd choose one of the magnifier tweezers! cathyquiltsalot@yahoo.com

Not sure why previous comment wasn't posted, but trying again. Already have a magnetic picker-upper, but one with a light would help in the small places at the side of the sewing table where it's hard to see anything.

Beth said...

This would be so much better than toes or paws finding pins!!

Oh boy, who hasn't stepped on a dropped, missed pin. And does it hurt. I always start sewing with shoes on but end up with them kicked off. A magnet and a light would be so great. Thanks.

What a nifty tool. That would be great for reaching those pins that I always seem to drop and I end up on my hands and knees picking them up.

Thank you and Toys for Quilters for a great giveaway and a chance to win.

I visited the site, Toys for Quilters and had to have a look in every area. So much fun, infact I saw items that a few of my friends have been looking for. I can't wait to share this website with my sewing buddies. I saw lots of great things. I love the tape measures that have the different animals. Did you see the chicken? You pull the "egg" to pull the measure out. hehe. Great fobs for scissors etc.,a mini ladybug vac and a light you wear like a bluetooth. Neat right?

Thank you and Toys for Quilters for an awesome giveaway and a chance to win.

I'd love to win the lighted pin picker upper. I cross stitch as well as quilt so dropped needles are a constant.

Kim Jones said...

I could so use this picker-upper...my sewing box room is not well lit, my eyes are old and the carpet is blue with tiny spots on it..so of course the pins blend in, till I step on them, they they are easy to find, surrounded by blood.
I have a US address for sending this to if I happen to win, why expect someone to pay international shipping, when my sweet aunt will be happy to throw it in a "CARE BOX" for me.
