I quilt today, while I hold the memories of that day heavily in my heart. To inspire me, I admired photos of many patriotic quilts, found on the internet, and wanted to share them with you.

Yes, I have been watching all of the coverage too. I remember that day. My oldest son lived in New York and I had just been to visit him three weeks before. I had seen the twin towers. I felt lucky that I knew where he lived and worked and that I knew he was safe even though I could not reach him.
Well said. Thank you.
Thank you for the photos of quilts, we all can remember in many ways, huh? I pray for those families, and our nation that lost
so much that day ~

The day always gets me! My son was born teh day before! I was feeding him and watching Today show live as the events transpired! I just sat in aww as if it were not real!
On a happy note the quilts are beautiful!!
A very thoughtful and touching post. I was surprised, humbled, and honored that you included the simple star blocks from my photobucket. I hope those blocks are now part of several quilts and comforting a serviceperson. Roxann
