Welcome to the 2011 Pets on Quilts Show

 

Welcome to the 2011 Pets on Quilts Show.  Entries to this show are accepted thru the 19th, but before you enter, please be sure to read this entire post (rules are at the bottom). Bloggers and non-bloggers are welcome to enter photos of their Pets on Quilts, Quilts with a pet theme, EQ6/EQ7 designs, Quilt Art, Machine Embroidered quilts....all with a pet theme.  And, I hope you'll also share insights about your beloved pets too. 

While entries can come in  anytime thru the 19th, this event actually carries into next weekend, where  everyone (even those that did not enter a quilt) will have a chance to vote for their favorite quilts for the "Viewer's Choice" Awards.  {see rules for more info}.

We have some wonderful Sponsors that have been very generous with donating prizes that will be awarded to a mixture of those that submit entries, as well as those that come to the show to view the entries, as well as those that vote.

I am still collecting photos of "Pets on Quilts" for a calendar to use as a fundraiser for Animal Shelters.  Thank you to those of you that have already submitted photos to me.  While I have printed three calendars, that will be given as prizes in this event, mass printing for for the 2012 Pets on Quilts Calendar is not scheduled until late September.  Thus, if you would like to submit a photo please email me ASAP. 

RULES on how to Enter:

This show is open to Bloggers and Non-Bloggers. Non-Bloggers will be able to enter if they have a Flickr Account and they follow steps listed in a pre-show post.  While I will try to assist over email, I can not guarantee that I can help everyone due to time constraints, which is why I did the pre-show post.  So, if you are a non-blogger please read the pre-show post before you email me and understand if I do not get back to you in a timely manner.

1. One "link" entry per person.   You can enter more than one photo entry in your post, but please only add one link to the show linky.  Links need to be direct links to your post not links to your blog, so that it helps show viewers to get to your entry easily.
2. Entries can be photos of your pets on your quilts, quilts that have a pet theme.  EQ6/EQ7 designs, Quilt Art, Machine Embroidery so long as they have a pet theme.
3. Where appropriate, share insights about your pet and that your post is an entry in the Pets on Quilts Show.  Heck, you can even encourage your followers to vote for you so that you can get a Viewer's Choice Award.
4. For non-Bloggers, you can upload your entries to Flickr but please read and follow steps on this prior post for non-bloggers, with the exception in that you will need to add a link to the linky on this page, but you can still do a test linky mentioned in the prior post too!

RULES on how to win a prize:
It only takes one comment to be entered to win a prize.  But there are many ways you can leave a comment.  Please review all the prizes and let me know the prize numbers you are interested in winning, in at least one of your comments.  If your name is drawin, to win a prize, I'll do my best to try to match you up with one of your favorite prizes.

Here are the ways you can enter to win a prize.  Please leave a separate comment for as many ways to enter as you are eligible for and wish to claim by way of a comment.
1.  Be a follower and leave a comment.
2.  Have an entry in the show.
3.  Be a PR Angel for this show (post the show badge on your blog and/or post a shout out on your blog).
4.  View all of the entries and leave a comment on their post, by end of day Sunday, August 21st and leave a comment on this post.
5.  On Sat., August 20th or Sun., August 21st Vote for your favorite entries for the following categories by simply leaving a comment on this post and show the entry # for the following categories that you wish to nominate as your favorite entries.:

As an FYI, Prizes will be awarded randomly based on six categories where you could win prizes from two or more categories.  To clarify, I select from comments that fit these categories to identify the winner of a certain number of prizes in each category.

But, to win a prize I need a way to contact you.  If you are not sure your blog settings allow me to contact you (e.g. you might be a no reply blogger), please check the page of my blog labeled "giveaways" as there is information an screen shots to help you check and/or fix your settings.  And, if in doubt, include your email address in your comment.  While this may sound silly, as there is always someone who comments with the "Anonymous" option and doesn't include an email, you can't win a prize with that approach!
