Charity Quilt Auction - Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative

The Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative has helped to raise awareness and much needed research funds, for Alzheimers, thru Art.  They hold online auctions the first ten days of every month.  This month their are many beautiful quilts being auctioned.

Sue Nickels has donated A Bouquet for You

Diane Gaudynski has donated Mourning Too Soon.

Plus there are many more beautiful  quilts at auction this month and quilts that are also  for sale.

There are 33 ways you can help the Alzheimers Art Quilt Initiative.  I hope you will help by telling your friends about the Alzheimers Art Quilt Initiative and their quilt auctions and quilts for sell.  Even consider sharing this on Facebook, Twitter, or Google +.  Or, you may want to make a donation quilt.

There are an estimated 5.3 million Americans with Alzheimer's disease.  Unless a cure or prevention is found, that number will increase to between 11 and 16 million by 2050.  Each day on average, 1,252 people are diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.  Each week on average, 8,764 people are diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.  Alzheimer's disease is a death sentence. Brain death. A typical person takes from 5-20 years to die. It is not unusual for the disease to take more than a decade to kill someone.

The Alzheimers Art Quilt Initiative has raised more than $570,000 since January 2006 to help in the efforts of increasing awareness on Alzheimers and funding research for a cure and better treatment.
