Candy Cane Lane, by Melinda Bula

If you are looking for ideas for Christmas projects, "candy cane lane, Quilts and More to Sweeten the Holidays", by Melinda Bula is a wonderful book, published by Martingale & Company, home of That Patchwork Place.
It would be difficult to not get into the holiday spirit after seeing this book, as it is full of sweet designs, and a variety of projects.   Insights are provided to help select and prepare your fabrics, along with info on how to create fusible-web applique' and needle-turn applique', embellishments and more.
The Candy Cane Lane Quilt finishes at 51"x 60 1/2" and just radiates holiday cheer.  Well written instructions and great visuals are provided to complete each block, as well as final assembly.

Projects include really cute Felt Stockings, shown with three main applique options (a whimsical "Who down in Whoville" tree, a snowman and a candy cane).
This book would also be easy to use the various applique designs (e.g. holly leaves & berries, candy canes, trees, snowman and more) on many other projects too.  There is a pull out section, within this book, that contains "full size" applique designs for all the projects in this book.
Melinda is a very talented designer, teacher and author.  I love this sweet "Candy Cane Lane" book that she created and think quilters of all levels will too.  I also enjoyed reading about some of her childhood memories and how they have influenced one of her designs in this book.

This book has certainly made excited about the upcoming holidays.  And, of course, I'm looking forward to the Christmas Quilt Show.

If you are looking for some fun ideas for Christmas projects, I hope you'll check out "candy cane lane Quilts and More to Sweeten the Holidays", by Melinda Bula.
