Are you ready for Spring Time?

I was able to quickly create a cute table runner today, to welcome in Spring. And I'm also looking forward to using it for an Easter Brunch.  It was so easy, that I'm sure I spent less than 30 minutes making it (from fabric selecting to completing this project).  Well, I do plan on spending a bit longer to do some fancy freehand quilting on it, but technically I think it would work fine as is.

If you have done any traditional applique work, I'm sure you realize you can't make a simple table runner in less than 30 minutes. So, are you wondering how I did it?

The basic table runner is called the "ten minute table runner" design, by LaRae Bunnell Clark, who teaches at the Utah State University Weber County extension.  I've seen various versions of this design on the web, but as far as I know LaRae is the original designer.  While I'd love to share her pattern for this easy table runner, it isn't mine to share.  You need to contact her directly.  www.extension.usu.edu/weber

After creating a basic table runner, I spent a "few minutes" preparing fabric with an iron on adhesive and cutting out the applique pieces.  Yes, only a few minute prep time as I used the AccuQuilt GO! Round Flower die.  Without the AccuQuilt, I am confident I wouldn't have been able to create any table runner so quickly.  I'm now so excited about this table runner I want to create some more table runners for friends to enjoy on Easter Sunday!  I do think they'd make great gifts and, as they are so easy to make, there is time to make them for gifts!  Amazing.

If you haven't noticed, I'm an AccuQuilt Evangelist!  Hooked!  I'm so hooked I've volunteered to give free demonstrations at Cozy Quilt Shop this weekend and next weekend.

Tomorrow (Saturday)  Cozy Quilt Shop is having their famous Fat Quarters Anonymous meeting.  Always fun to come see the new pattern that Cozy Quilt Shop releases every month, making beautiful quilts using fat quarters.  And, if you attend this meeting, you get a free copy of this new pattern, plus you get to see a quilt made with this pattern and see insights on how the blocks are created.  Plus, tomorrow, follow the Fat Quarters Anonymous meeting,at 11:30am,  I'll be giving a free demonstration of using the AccuQuilt GO!

Next Saturday, April 10th Cozy Quilt Shop has their famous Strip Club meeting.  And if you attend you can receive a free copy of their new strip club pattner, plus see a quilt made with this pattern and learn how the blocks are created.  And, like the Fat Quarters Anonymous meeting, following the Strip Club meeting, I'll be giving an AccuQuilt GO! demonstration at 10am.

I understand Cozy Quilt Shop will have some AccuQuilt specials, but you need to come to the demonstrations (or call the store) to find out what these specials are.

And, if you do not live nearby and are interested in AccuQuilt, I encourage you to talk to your local Quilt Store and ask them to give AccuQuilt demonstrations.  But really, the AccuQuilt GO! is so easy to use you really don't need a demonstration.  Just pull it out of the box and you'll quickly start making accurate cuts very quickly!
