MY REVIEW:
There is something special about a handmade gift and Trish has not only created a book with fun projects to make for gifts, she also does an excellent job capturing the spiriting of making handmade and giving handmade gifts. Thus, I'm truly hoping that EVERY person that enjoys making handmade gifts will get a copy of this book, but also I believe this book is filled with so many fun projects, that have easy to follow instructions, it would also make an excellent gift to encourage others to make handmade gifts.
Of course, many of the projects are items you'll want to make for yourself, but they are all perfect for gifts. And many of these projects would also be appropriate for teaching kids to sew and give handmade items for gifts.
All of the projects come with well written instructions and create visuals. A few of the projects have templates which are included in the book.

I like to make potholders as quick easy gifts. It is also a great excuse to practice my free motion quilting.
ReplyDeleteI need new ideas for handmade gifts. Would love to win this book. Have a wonderful Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win that great book! I like to make pincushions for gifts. I made some wool acorn pincushions, stuffed them with walnut shells and put a real top from an acorn on top.
ReplyDeleteHomemade gifts are just so much better--to give and receive. My favourite I ever received was a beautiful wooden sewing box, in the shape of a heart, woodburned with a bunny and flowers, that my (artist) son made me.
ReplyDeleteOh that looks like a great book! I make all my gifts (always have) and this book I would love to win! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a cute book. I love to give something I made, instead of something I bought.

Sounds like an awesome book and the projects look amazing. I like to give tablerunners or zippered pouches as gifts. Both are usually fairly quick to make.
ReplyDeleteThank you for a super giveaway and a chance to win.

ReplyDeleteI think that handmade gifts are more appreciated than anything else. When my mother dies, I found several cards and little gifts I had made for her as a child.
