My Favorite Tutorials: Whale Softie

Today I want to share one of My Favorite Tutorials, which is for a softie.  Valaan Villapaita has an excellent tutorial to make a super cute "Whale Softie".

Her tutorial is well written with great visuals.  She uses Denim to make this sweet whale, which would certainly make it a durable softie toy for a kid, but it really looks great made with Denim too.  Of course, I think this softie would look cute in a variety of fabrics.

And while you are checking out this tutorial at Valaan Villapaita, take time to check out her wonderful blog.  She is Finnish and you can use a Google translator that will make it well worth it, as I think you'll enjoy her blog too.  Especially those that enjoy knitting, as she has knitted many pairs of gorgeous socks and other items and also crochet scarfs.

  1. I love that whale, I had seen him before but she hadn't translated it yet and although the pictures make it pretty clear, it's nice to be able to read it, thanks, I've bookmarked it.

  2. I have seen that and love it, but I hate gussets, lol. I need to practice them so I can do more animals.
