Scrap-Basket Beauties: Quilting with Scraps, Strips, and Jelly Rolls, by Kim Bracket

Kim Bracket has released another great book, in her series of "Scrap-Basket" quilting.  This is fun new book that is a "must have" for any quilter that needs to reduce their stash and/or enjoys making beautiful quilts from scraps of fabric!

There are 18 beautiful quilt designs in this book that use 2 1/2" strips and scraps that you can use from your stash or purchase pre-cuts or yardage.  Fabric requirements are provided for both pre-cuts or yardage options.

Every design comes with easy to follow instructions and great visuals, a trademark of Martingale and Kim Brackett!

Designs range from geometric to pinwheels to flowers, with sizes from  from 49 1/2" x 61 1/2" to 61 1/2" x 73 1/2".

Sections are also included for Basic Quiltmaking Instructions, making this a great book for confident beginner quilters.

And, there is a section "All about 2 1/2" Wide Strips" that includes oodles of tips including cutting.

  1. I just got this book and it is delightful. I am not a 'book' or pattern quilter, but have students that rely on them and this is a great book for beginners to have in our library.

  7. Those are great designs - a very good book for reducing scrap stash. I cut almost all my leftovers into 2-1/2" strips.
