My Favorite Tutorials: BabyBib
Just click on over to visit "Homemade by Jill" for more info on this cute bib & excellent tutorial. And, while you are there, I hope you'll check out her blog. She has many wonderful tutorials, templates, printables, and shares many fun and creative insights on her delightful blog.
If you are wondering why you might want to create a baby big, I hope you'll take time to look around your community as there are typically many "quiet" programs that really appreciate such handmade items. In my area, "Operation Homefront" appreciations such donations as baskets are created full of items for newborns and are given to woman who deliver babies when their spouse is off fighting in a war. Local children's centers (aka modern day orphanages) also appreciate such donations, as well as other handmade items and donations that help to bring good cheer.
Of course, many quilting, sewing & embroidery enthusiasts can find ways to use this tutorial to make beautiful projects to share with friends and family members. There are also situations where you can upsize this pattern to make bibs for seniors with alzeimers and other conditions that tend to benefit from an adult size version of a bib.
SewCalGal would like to hear from you on ideas for how you might use this tutorial to consume some scraps, make charity projects, as well as make gifts for family & friends.

With all the babies being born at my office this tutorial will be great to add to my list also.
ReplyDeleteThanks for pointing us to this great, straight-forward tutorial. I was also glad to be reminded by you of Operation Homefront; I'll be checking in with them soon, since my brother is about to be deployed and I have military families on my mind.
