Fun Friday Giveaway:Fat Quarters Anonymous

Home Page

At a recent meeting for quilters, called "Fat Quarters Anonymous", Daniela Stout, owner of Cozy Quilt Shop/Cozy Quilt Designs, revealed a new pattern that is perfect for using Fat Quarters.  At these meetings, attendees are the first to learn about a new FQA design and are also given a free copy of the new design!  Sweet!  Attendees to these meetings come from all over, so if you are ever in El Cajon, Ca I hope you have a chance to visit Cozy Quilt Shop and hopefully attend a FQA meeting someday soon too!

"Strip Tube Chevron" uses the famous Strip Tube Ruler to quickly make block for this fast and fun quilt. The pattern includes easy to follow instructions, with great visuals, to make a quilt in a variety of sizes (baby, throw, twin, queen,or king).

If you are not familiar with the Strip Tube Ruler, here is a video that provides insights on this "must have" ruler.

We were also treated to a delightful trunk show from quilts made from  her wonderful collection of Fat Quarter patterns AND from those published in the book "Fat Quarters Anonymous: a Seven Step Program", by Daniela Stout.  The book has seven designs with easy to follow instructions, written in seven easy to follow steps, with great visuals too!  Plus, the obvious - designs are all written for using fat quarters (but you can use larger cuts of fabric too).

Fat Quarters Anonymous

Wait - it gets even better!  While most quilt books and patterns show you how to make a design in "one" size, each of the designs in this book (and most designs from Cozy Quilt Designs) come with instructions to make a variety of sizes (e.g. Baby, Table Runner, Twin, Queen or King).

With Daniela's permission I wanted to share insights with you about the quilts in this book, using images from her online store, along with images that I took during the recent FQA meeting:

It was sure fun attending the Fat Quarters Anonymous meeting at Cozy Quilt Shop, getting a free pattern, seeing an amazing trunk show of all of their FQA designs.  I also learned that Cozy Quilt Shop will soon be celebrating their 10th Anniversary.  In the years that they've been opened, Daniela has published 13 books and 150+ patterns, which are sold throughout the world.  You can often find them in your local quilt shop and in many online quilt stores. If you don't see them, just let them know you want them to carry Cozy Quilt Designs books and patterns!

To recognize Daniela's great contributions to help make our World of Quilting so Wonderful, she was also crowned the "Queen of Quilting" at this meeting.

Did I Mention A Giveaway?
While at Cozy Quilt Shop's recent Fat Quarter Anonymous meeting, I was given a copy of the "Spin City" quilt pattern that I want to giveaway to one of my followers.
