Of course, I had to make a pair using Hoffman Batiks. I simply used scraps that were about 1/4"x5" and tied them tightly around the strap of the flip flip. I was also able to pick up flip flops on sale at JoAnns for about $.50 per pair, so these are pretty economical flip flops.
I think they'd also look cute on a wall, table decoration, bridal party shoes (before or after the event) and many more uses too. Definitely a fun summer DIY Project that I think would also be great for kids or any non-sewing enthusiast, given it doesn't require a machine.
What do you think?
I think they are really cute. I just saw a lady wearing some done this way, but with ribbons.
ReplyDeleteThese are just so stinkin cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI am a flip flop girl. Think I'll give this a try if I can find any scraps of fabric around here. LOL!

ReplyDeleteyep those are cute
ReplyDeleteVery cute! My SIL does them with the loops you make potholders with but this is cuter. Now, to figure out how to do it to the flip flops with arch support. I wouldn't be able to walk if I wore those in the picture for more than 30 minutes. Getting older stinks.
ReplyDeletecute*simple*something totally that my foster daughter could do to jazz up some of her flipflops*
