During this event they'll be many quilts on exhibit of vintage and traditional patterns, in and outside the museums, in the plaza, and at various businesses in the park. Enjoy a free guided or self-guided tour, try your hand at quilting, and participate in a drawing for a unique quilt made especially for the event.
The highlight of the day will be at 3:30 pm when the Civil War Challenge Quilt Drawing will be held. This quilt was made by the Old Town Historic Quilt Guild (OTHQG). State Park staff and volunteers submitted blocks for the quilt back in March. They had to use a required Civil War era reproduction fabric to create their choice of a Civil War era quilt block. All fabrics used to complete their block had to be Civil War reproductions. There are 24 individual blocks surrounded by a hand-pieced blue border. The quilt was hand quilted by the members of the OTHQG. Raffle tickets for the quilt are being sold at the Robinson-Rose
Visitor Information Center in the park: $1 per ticket or 6 tickets for $5. The money raised from this raffle will go toward the purchase of an 1860s treadle sewing machine to enhance the interpretation and educational activities provided by the OTHQG for park visitors.
In addition to the quilt walk, many other activities will be occurring on this day that will celebrate the labors and leisure activities of the “Women of the West.” There will be food preparation, cheese making, spinning, dyeing, weaving, quilting, and soap making demonstrations.

This sounds like fun, I like the idea of walking in a park for a quilt show.
