Fun Friday Giveaway: Lighted Pin Picker Uppers

I recently picked up two Lighted Pin Picker Uppers, one for my sewing room and one for my husband.  We both have fallen in love with this very handy tool.  And, today three lucky quilters have a chance at winning one for their very own.

These lightweight pin picker uppers compact to a small size, yet easily extends to a 28" reach with a cushion grip handle to prevent possible slipping.
There is also a bright LED light that can easily be turned on or off.  And the part that has the light is magnetic, making it a breeze to pick up pins that have fallen on the ground.  No more bending down to pick up a pin for me.    Plus, it is so much easier to see the pins on the floor with this LED light  too!

This product is really a very reasonable price, making this a great product for quilting, sewing and even embroidery enthusiasts, along with those that may want to pick up screws, nails and other parts that "garage" hobbiest may drop, from time to time.  My DH can certainly vouch for this product too, but admittedly he doesn't call it a "pin" picker upper.

Did I mention a giveaway?  "Toys for Quilters" is our Fun Friday Sponsor today and they have generously offered 3 pin picker uppers to be given away to followers of SewCalGal.  But, first, I want to share a little insight with you about this company.

Their motto is  "quilting is the Toy Department of Life" and their mission is to bring fun and unique toys to quilters.   They offer a variety of Quilting and Sewing Notions, Tools and Toys for sale, at all reasonable prices.  And, they have some yummy fabric too!

Before you enter any giveaway, I hope you'll read my post "WANTED: Quilters that do not win in giveaways" for insights on what you can do to increase your chances of winning. This list is updated periodically, as I encounter various no-reply bloggers (aka those that can't win at giveaways as they can't be contacted).
If you would like to win one of these very handy Lighted Pin Picker Upper,  simply leave a comment on this post.

Want an extra entry?  Visit "Toys for Quilters" to take a look at their wonderful products.  Come back here and leave another comment telling me what your favorite product is at Toys for Quilters.

  57. Oh, man, do I NEED one of these gadgets!! I hand sew every evening and in the morning I find pins ALL over the place! My fear is that the pins will get lodged under the mats and when the automatic sliders of our 5th wheel close (at the end of our stay)pins will clog the system and my name will be MUD!! I could stick one of these gadgets way DOWN and catch all the stray pins...
Think I'm going to check out JoAnn's for one of these gadgets!!...but thanks for the chance and more importantly THANKS for telling us about these handy tools!!

  174. Could have used the lighted picker-upper yesterday when I had a major pin spill. Even without light I discovered some sizeable dust bunnies under cabinets!

  175. Just love it when you discover something that you didn't know you needed until you saw it. I need a Lighted Pin Picker Upper and if I don't win one I will be headed over to buy one. Thanks for the chance to win one.

  188. I just went to the Toys for Quilters website. Wow, What a great bunch of tools and toys there. I loved the food fabrics, always my weakness.

  189. It would be nice not to bend down. But seeing the pins, is half the battle. My husband told the gal at the quilt shop the other day that he was my pin cushion. Hazards of living with a quilter. :)

  190. Well, Dear, I'm a follower, and I don't typically win giveaways, and with over 190 responses already here, chances are I won't win this one either, but it sure is interesting reading your insights on this nifty (and fun) little gadget! For years and years, I had a magic wand (magnet with a handle) that I used every time I dropped the pin box, but when we went on the road, sadly, that was one toy that got away (so did my very favorite little bunny bird bath, but that's a whole 'nother story. OK, maybe it was part of the same story, or at least, the same transaction. I'll never know!)

Now, I usually just rub my bare feet around, hoping to find all the pins I've dropped before the puppy can get her paws on 'em. This litle gadget would be a big help in saving my feet!!

  196. I would love to win one of these but if not I will just have to steal the one out of my husbands shed. He uses it for when he drops the screws and things when he is fixing the car. I never thought to use it for pins etc. Thanks for the great idea.

  197. I visited the site and have decided that I need the ladybug mini vac. For no other reason than I love ladybirds and this one is super cute.
