As I've been at the Road to California Conference and Quilt Show this week, of which Hoffman Fabrics is a sponsor for this show, I want to start off with sharing insights with you about the 2011 Hoffman Challenge exhibit at this show.
Hoffman Fabrics is also the Best of Show Diamond Sponsor for ths show, with a $3,000 grand prize. The winner of this award is Molly Hamilton McNally of Tehachapi, California, for a spectacular quilt called Everlasting Bouqet. Molly was the maker of this quilt, partnering with Cindy Seitz-Krug. Molly designed the quilt and used reverse applique'. The quilting design was by Cindy, who used her home sewing machine to quilt it.
The Hoffman 2011 Challenge exhibit has many beautiful quilts, clothing items, dolls, purses and more, of which every item was truly spectacular.
Did I mention a giveaway? Today, one of the fabric rolls that Hoffman Fabrics gave me, for followers of SewCalGal, while I was on tour will be given away this week. Thank you Hoffman Fabrics for sponsoring this giveaway (and a few more to come in the near future, with a few more of these yummy fabric rolls).
I like to think of this bundle as an Sushi Roll. If you would like to win this bundle of fabric, simply leave a comment on this post. I'll randomly select a winner next Friday.
Want an extra entry? Go "like" Hoffman Fabrics on Facebook. Find the comment, below, that Hoffman Fabrics posted on their wall, on January 19th, and leave a comment under it telling them how much you appreciate all they do to make our quilting world so wonderful. Or, maybe you have a photo of a project that you've made with Hoffman Fabrics that you'd like to post on their Facebook page. Just send them some quilty love on Facebook and you'll get a second entry, if you come back and leave a comment here to tell me what you did. Plus, if you leave the comment on Hoffman's Facebook page prior to Friday, Jan 20th 4:45 PST you also get entered to win a FQ bundle of 10 fabrics through a giveaway they are hosting on their Facebook page.
note: Keep an eye out, as there will be a few more giveaways for various Hoffman fabric bundles. Seems I came home with a few bundles of beautiful Hoffman fabric for you. It is just easier on my budget if I don't ship them all at once.
The winner of last weeks' giveaway for the MicroFine Tweezers, sponsored by Famore Scissors and I Have A Notion is LJ
