Deck The Halls
There are ten projects with well written instructions and excellent visuals to help you create beautiful quilts, door banner to welcome guests, table toppers, Christmas stockings, tree skirts and even beautiful mantel quilts.
Projects range in size from 11 1/2" x 35 1/2" to 47 1/2" x 47 1/2".
There is an extensive "basics" section with insights on fabrics, threads, sewing machine, needles, tools, etc.. Quiltmaking basics also includes insights on rotary cutting, fusible-web applique', paper piecing, squaring up blocks and more. Thus, SewCalGal views this is an excellent book for beginner quilters as well as advanced quilters.
This is definitely a "must have" book for those that enjoy decorating for the holidays and/or making special treasures for Christmas gifts. You can certainly "Quilt yourself a merry little Christmas!" with this delightful quilting book.
I hope you get a chance to check out this book at your local quilt store or at the online store for Martingale & Company.

Looks like the book is full of wonderful ideas. Thanks for the review.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review Darlene. I have so many good intentions about Christmas sewing, but I never seem to be able to time my projects right. The holidays just come too fast, and before you know it, it's the New Year, and I want to put all the Christmas behind me.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the review. I am decorating this year since I am staying home for once. And it will be here before we know it.
ReplyDeleteI love their books and have a few that I plan on using this year.
