New Hoffman Fall Fabrics, Free Patterns And A Giveaway


As many of us are just starting to enjoy Spring, it probably doesn't feel right to talk about Fall. But for those of us that like to plan projects for upcoming seasons, Fall 2014 officially begins September 23.   And while that is five (5) months away, SewCalGal wanted to share insights with you today on some new fabrics that are beginning to arrive in our local quilt shops and favorite online shops.



Hoffman California International Fabrics has released their catalog for new fabrics for Fall/Winter 2014.  While they have plenty of new screen prints, batiks and hand. You can view their catalog online to see all of their new fabrics, but you should also be able to find these in your local quilt shops or favorite online shops. If not, let them know you are interested in having them carry these new fabric lines from Hoffman:



Here are some new fabrics that caught my attention and I wanted to share with you today:

Suzy's Pumpkin Patch

Maple Lane


Hoffman has a fun  free pattern for Maple  Lane fabric line, designed by Denise Russart.



Narumi
Hoffman has a lovely free pattern for Narumi fabric line, designed by Toby Lischko.

  1. I made a fall quilt that was baskets full of flowers. I made it all out of fall colors. It was an applique quilt. It truly tested me.

  22. Suzy's Zoo is such a cute line. I used the stickers often when I was teaching. Guaranteed smile. I love the new Fall fabrics! Those pumpkins are so pretty, and I love leaves. I'll have to look for these in my shops.

  36. Fall is my favorite season of the year and I have a great weakness for fall fabrics as well! I also have purchased numerous Suzy Zoo greeting cards, stickers and scrapbooking items over the years - Suzy Zoo fabric is the next logical step!

  37. I think fall fabrics call to me more than any other season. Not sure if it's the colors or what, but I just can't get enough! I have made one of my favorite quilts with maple leaf blocks that I got in an exchange a long time ago on the internet, before it was a popular thing to do…everyone thought it so novel at the time!!

  43. I've noticed that decorating for Halloween has become more and more popular in recent years. While I don't see myself making a Halloween quilt, I could see myself making a smaller project such as a table topper. A lot of the Halloween fabrics are great fun.

  66. OOhh I am so not ready to think of fall! We're still trying to keep Spring from morphing back to winter. We haven't even planted our vegie garden yet. I made a fall/ Halloween table topper several years ago that I really like, mostly because it is good from September to December. Thansk.

  71. Love these fall fabrics. I've made a Halloween panel quilt for myself, and smaller wall hangings for both of my sons. Now I would like to make a cute Halloween quilt for my Granddaughter, as she's only two, a non-scary one would be best, and I think this fabric would work wonderfully. Holy run on sentence, Batman!
