2014 Hoffman Challenge and a Giveaway

One of SewCalGal's favorite exhibits at major quilt shows is seeing a traveling exhibit of the Hoffman Challenge.  Every year they are different and always inspirational.  The quilts, the dolls, and the clothing are always beautiful.  I always enjoy every entry and love the creativity.


The Hoffman Challenge is truly a great challenge.  Every year a new Challenge fabric is selected and entries must use enough of the challenge fabric to be recognizable, plus any other fabric that they wish to use.  

 


Of course, Hoffman always coordinates the challenge fabric with other fabrics that would work well with the primary fabric.    You should be able to  find the Hoffman Challenge fabric, as well as complimentary fabrics, in your local quilt shop or favorite online shop.






Entries for the 2014 Hoffman Challenge need to be received by July 18th 2014.   Click here for more information on the rules, as well as how to enter.


Did I Mention A Giveaway: 

Hoffman has generously donated a bundle of fabrics for a lucky  follower.  This fabric bundle includes the primary Hoffman Challenge fabric and three complimentary Hoffman fabrics.  All are very generous half yard cuts.

This is a great bundle for anyone interested in participating in the Hoffman Challenge, but you can also use this bundle to create anything you wish and do anything you want with your project.

    I love Hoffman fabrics and have collected them for years, but have never entered the challenge. I've never entered my quilts in any sort of competition; just haven't felt they've been good enough. I'm still practicing and trying to improve. Maybe someday...

    That is a gorgeous fabric. It is very different from most of their challenge fabrics. If I didn't already have so much on my plate I'd consider entering this time. I'll probably have to settle for just getting the fabric for now.
