Welcome to Day 5 of the EQ Blog Hop Celebrating A Year of Red and White Quilt Challenges!
Today is the last day of this hop, where all of the participants have shared a variety of tips, tutorials and inspirational designs using EQ software. SewCalGal has certainly had fun and learned new things and hope you have too!
I hope we've inspired you to create a design (you need not make your project) and enter it in the upcoming Design It! Quilt Challenge. This challenge will be held February 10th - March 23rd. While it will certainly be easier to create a design using EQ software, if you are not an EQ user you can still enter your design that you create using other software packages and even drawing on paper. The rules and a linky for this challenge will be posted this on February 10th on SewCalGal.
During the EQ Blog Hop this week, insights have been shared on creating:
- basic pieced quilt blocks
- basic quilt designs
- STASH fabric collections
- using the Serendipity Tool was shared by Love to Stitch,
- a variety of inspirational block and quilt designs was shared in the Behind the Mouse, the Electric Quilt Blog, Kissed Quilts, Beaquilter and Love to Stitch.

ReplyDeleteI have EQ7 and have used it a bit. I really learned a lot this week, though, and can't wait to try designing a red and white quilt with Serendipity. There aren't many red fabrics in the software as is, I'd love to win some Stash! Thanks for the opportunity.

Thank you for your kind words. I have so much to learn about any area of EQ7. One day I would like to be able to draw applique shapes but for now I'll absorb anything that is going!! Thank you for the chance to enter the giveaway :-)
ReplyDeleteI use EQ7 to design quilts. I would love to learn more about exploding diagrams to use in pattern instructions. I have found my own way of doing it, but don't think it's right.
ReplyDeleteI have EQ7 with stitch. I use it for designing quilts and digitizing embroidery projects.
ReplyDeleteI have EQ7 and I'm always interested in the drawing part of it.
ReplyDeleteI love my EQ 7. I use it mainly to check out color placement for pieced quilts, and have downloaded the monthly fabrics from the website.
