Rules for Bidders
- Each item at auction has a unique linky that you can use to place your bid. Please be sure to review previous bids and increment in an even, whole dollar amount.
- Bids that are less than a previous bid or NOT made using a whole dollar amount, will be removed.
- This is a charity fundraiser. Please don't wait to the last minute as SewCalGal reserves the right to tweak the deadline for closing each item. Anticipate a closing somewhere between November 26th and December 2nd.
- 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the four non-profit charities showcased in the Quilter's Bee Giving Charity Fundraiser. Payment terms can be worked out with the winning bidder, where checks made payable to one of the four non-profit charities showcased in this event will be accepted, or PayPal to SewCalGal (who will write a check to one of the four charities). But, payment direct to one of these charities does offer potential tax deductions, as they are all non-profit charities.
- Winning bids will be responsible for shipping expenses, unless the sponsor has offered to ship the prize directly. SewCalGal is not setup to provide estimates, but will ship taking advantage of the best shipping opportunities. I'm trying to ensure prizes will fit in flat rate envelopes or boxes.
- Bidding utilizes the Linky tool. Fields should be entered with the following information:
- URL: leave blank - not a required field...or if you are a blogger, you may want to use your blog url.
- Name: $tbd bid amount, followed by your name or unique bidder ID that is self assigned.
- Email: Your email address (not made public, nor shared with anyone)
- SewCalGal reserves the right to remove invalid bids and, due to time constraints, those that do not follow the rules and have their bids removed may not be notified. Thus, bidders need to read the rules and check back.
- SewCalGal also reserves the right to close individual auctions at any time, to avoid last minute bidding wars. As this is a charity fundraiser, let's not forget the winning bidders get to write their check made payable to any of the four non-profit charities showcased in this event.
- At the close of the auction, winners will receive an email notification, with details on payment. They will have 3 days to confirm their bid and claim the respective auction item.

I would love to bid on some of the auction items as well as buy some raffle tickets...but I have not been able to find anywhere to "click" to achieve my goals. Even the email link to SewCalGal doesn't work. I have no idea what I am doing wrong or what I'm missing :( Love all the charities and would like to help support them!!
