Untitled-1

Fat Fat-Quarter Quilts, from Martingale, published by their new imprint "make it" is a perfect new book for quilters of all levels.

The book has nine designs that range in size from 56 3/4" x 56 3/4" to 66 1/2" x 80 1/2" and they have easy to follow instructions with great visuals.

The new "Make It" imprint line offers a great value for confident beginners thru advanced quilters who do not need a book that also includes basic sections for quilting.  To clarify, the new Make It line of books focuses on providing fun designs with well written instructions all at a reasonable price.  So don't expect to find sections on how to sandwich a quilt, add binding, etc..

SewCalGal hopes that you get a chance to check out this fun new book at your local quilt shop soon, or at Martingale's online store.  It is also available at Amazon.

  1. Thanks for the info about the new Make It line. The basic quilting sections get repetitive, and I don't think I've read that part of a quilting book for a long time. Unless there's a new technique I skip it.

  2. Lovely and lively quilts. Thanks for the info. I agree with poster Joanna- unless an author has some special ways of doing the basics, those are unnecessary pages and readily available elswhere. Having just patterns works.

  4. They have several books in that series. Reasonably priced and packed with patterns.

  5. Great idea to just include patterns...I'm in agreement with the others here. The patterns shown have a lot of movement and interest; I will have to put that book on my list!
